EPA, DHA & OMEGA-3

EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) are long-chain omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 is a family of fatty acids, not a single ingredient.

Where is it found?

Fish and marine oils are dietary sources of EPA and DHA. KETOS uses fish oil.

In sports nutrition

Fish-oil supplements provide these fatty acids in a capsule format. Their composition differs from a protein powder or an amino acid supplement.

Read the label

Read EPA and DHA amounts individually, and check whether the figures refer to one capsule or a daily serving. Total fish-oil weight is not the same as total EPA and DHA. Check fish allergens and the capsule shell.
